style=\"padding-bottom:0\">A brief history<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\" style=\"margin-bottom:0px\"><br\/>In the 19th century, La Clairi\u00e8re was an unspoilt land of vines and hunting, on the doorstep of the ocean. The hunting lodge, built in 1821 of local stone and wood, has stood the test of time. Now completely renovated, it houses our wellness area in a warm, authentic atmosphere.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">In the 1950s, this vast 12-hectare forest estate was transformed into a summer camp for the children of the City of Paris. Over 1,200 m\u00b2 of buildings were erected to house the children and provide them with appropriate facilities and services. <br\/><br\/>In 1993, a new page was turned with the creation of the 147-site &#8220;La Clairi\u00e8re&#8221; campsite. Over the next fourteen years, the site underwent a major expansion, with the addition of a swimming pool, waterslide and other facilities, earning the campsite its three-star rating. <br\/><br\/>In 2006, Guylaine and L\u00e9o Caldarola took over the estate and breathed new life into it. They modernized the infrastructure, renovated the existing buildings and expanded the range of services on offer. Numerous cycle paths and mountain bike trails run through the forest and along the ocean.<br\/>The supermarket on the campsite sells basic necessities, including organic and local produce, so you don&#8217;t have to use your car for shopping. The same goes for the natural swimming area, which offers the pleasures of the beach without leaving the campsite. La Tremblade is fortunate to be home to two major Natura 2000 areas, where the aim is to protect animal species and habitats of interest. <br\/>Also in the Charente-Maritime department, several communes have been awarded the &#8220;Pavillon bleu&#8221; label for their beaches, and fourteen villages are listed in the &#8220;Village de pierres et d&#8217;eau&#8221; network of remarkable sites.<br\/><br\/>As for GIP Littoral, it is carrying out 34 projects in the department as part of a shared strategy for sustainable development, with the aim of &#8220;Littoral 2030&#8221; being to make a success of the transition of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine coastline.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:209px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div style=\"height:var(--wp--preset--spacing--xxxxxl)\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La Clairi\u00e8re A brief history In the 19th century, La Clairi\u00e8re was an unspoilt land of vines and hunting, on the doorstep of the ocean.
